Our Travel Route

Day 1: The Adventure Begins. Departure to Tanzania Today begins your exciting journey to Tanzania, a destination that will immerse you in the majesty of the African wilderness and the rich cultural heritage of the Maasai people. Depending on your city of origin, you'll take an international flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), the main gateway to northern Tanzania. During the flight, you'll have time to relax, review your itinerary, and dream about the unforgettable experiences that await you. If your flight has stopovers, you can take advantage of them to stretch your legs and briefly explore a connecting city. Remember to bring all necessary travel documents with you, such as a passport with at least six months' validity and a Tanzanian visa (which you can apply for online before your arrival). Also, be sure to pack the essentials for your trip in your carry-on luggage: • Comfortable clothing for the flight. • A plug adapter for Tanzania. • A charged camera or cell phone to capture the first moments of your adventure. • Eager to explore and discover a whole new world. Your arrival in Tanzania will be the next day. Let the adventure begin!

Day 2: Welcome to Tanzania. Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be greeted by our local team, welcoming you with warm Tanzanian hospitality. From here, we'll transfer you to Mto wa Mbu, a picturesque multicultural village that will be your first immersion in authentic local life. This vibrant enclave is home to more than 120 ethnic groups living in harmony, making it one of the most fascinating places to experience Tanzania's cultural diversity. Its streets are full of life, with colorful markets, small farms, artisan workshops, and children waving with genuine smiles. You'll have time to relax after the journey and enjoy a dinner featuring local flavors before resting and preparing for the next day's exploration.

Day 3: Exploring Mto wa Mbu and traveling to Lake Natron. In the morning, we'll delve into Mto wa Mbu on a guided tour, exploring its local markets, watching artisans carve wood, and learning about agriculture in this fertile area. We'll taste freshly picked tropical fruits and learn firsthand how the community has turned this village into a melting pot of cultures and traditions. After lunch, we'll bid farewell to urban life and head into the wildest and most remote part of Tanzania. A dusty road will take us to Lake Natron, a place that seems like something out of another planet. This alkaline lake is home to thousands of flamingos that color its reddish waters, while the imposing Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, the "Mountain of God" to the Maasai, dominates the horizon. We'll arrive at sunset, when the landscape becomes even more magical with the golden light reflected in the lake. We'll spend the night in a nearby camp, fully connected to nature.

Day 4: Lake Natron. Wild Nature and Hidden Waterfalls Today we will immerse ourselves in the unique beauty of Lake Natron, exploring its surreal landscapes of reddish and pink hues, caused by high concentrations of salt and algae. A Maasai guide will accompany us on a hike to the spectacular Ngare Sero Waterfalls, where we can refresh ourselves in its crystal-clear waters amidst a canyon of reddish walls and lush vegetation. We will have the opportunity to walk to the shores of the lake, where flamingos in flight offer an unforgettable visual spectacle. Here, the tranquility and sense of isolation will remind us that we are in a virtually untouched corner of the world. In the evening, we will enjoy dinner under a stunning starry sky, while listening to stories from the Maasai culture and experiencing the magic of Africa in its purest form.

Day 5: Heading to the Serengeti. Safari in the Northern Zone After an unforgettable sunrise over Lake Natron, we'll depart for one of the world's most iconic parks: the Serengeti. As we travel along dirt roads, the landscape will transform from arid volcanic lands to the immensity of the African savannah. We'll enter the northern Serengeti, a less-traveled region but famous for being the site of the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the majestic Mara River in search of fresh grass. This natural phenomenon, accompanied by lurking crocodiles and opportunistic predators, is one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on the planet. We'll go on our first safari in this area, in search of predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as elephants, giraffes, and countless antelope species. As night falls, we'll settle into our camp inside the park, surrounded by the night sounds of the savannah.

Day 6: In Search of the Great Migration in the Northern Serengeti We'll wake up at dawn to make the most of a day's safari in the northern Serengeti, aiming to find the impressive Mara River crossings. We'll witness up-close how hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras take to the water in an epic survival challenge where predators lurk around every corner. In addition to the Great Migration, this area is home to majestic dark-maned lions, herds of elephants, and stealthy cheetahs patrolling the plains. We'll also have the opportunity to observe the behavior of hippos in their pools and the Nile crocodiles, the giants of the Mara River. After a day of intense excitement, we'll return to our camp to enjoy dinner under a starry sky, with the sounds of nature enveloping us in a magical experience.

Day 7: Safari in the Central Serengeti – The Heart of the African Savannah Today we will travel to the Central Serengeti, one of the park's most famous and wildlife-rich regions. This area is known for its endless golden plains, where big cats dominate the territory and herds of herbivores graze in large groups. We will explore the iconic Seronera area, renowned as one of the best places in the world to spot leopards, thanks to its rocky outcrops and acacia trees, where these cats find refuge. We will also look for large prides of lions resting in the shade and elephants moving gracefully among the baobabs. We will spend another night within the park, soaking up the unique atmosphere of the Serengeti, with a campfire lighting the evening.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater. A Stunning Natural Sanctuary Today we will head to one of the planet's most stunning natural wonders: the Ngorongoro Crater. This ancient collapsed volcano is home to a unique ecosystem, where animals live in an isolated paradise of approximately 260 km². We will descend into the caldera and explore its immense plain in search of the "Big Five," including the rare black rhinoceros, which finds one of its last refuges here. We will also observe herds of buffalo, hippos resting in lagoons, jackals searching for prey, and perhaps even a leopard camouflaged among the vegetation. We will enjoy lunch overlooking the incredible crater landscape before continuing to Karatu, where we will spend the night in a lodge surrounded by coffee plantations.

Day 9: Osiligilai Camp. Cultural immersion in the Maasai community. In the morning, we will depart for Osiligilai, a Maasai camp steeped in the traditions of this legendary nomadic people. Here, Maasai warriors will greet us with their iconic songs and jumps, and we will have the opportunity to learn about their way of life, beliefs, and ancestral connection with nature. We will visit their traditional manyattas (mud and wood huts), discover their herding techniques, and participate in cultural activities such as bead making and fire lighting without matches. We will say goodbye with dinner under the stars, sharing stories around the fire and experiencing the magic of life on the savannah.

Day 10: Final Maasai Experiences and Return to Arusha In the morning, we'll enjoy our final activities at Osiligilai, taking the opportunity to absorb the wisdom of the Maasai elders and learn more about their deep relationship with nature. We'll then transfer to Arusha, where we'll rest in comfortable accommodations and have some free time to explore the city.

Day 11: End of the adventure. Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport After an unforgettable experience in Tanzania, it's time to return home. Depending on your flight schedule, we'll have time for a relaxing breakfast before the transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where we'll say goodbye, confident in the knowledge that we've experienced a trip that will remain in our memories forever. See you on our next African adventure!
