Uganda whispers to you,
it doesn't shout at you

Here, time stands still.

The paths wind through primary forests, endless hills, and villages that preserve the essence of Africa.

On this journey, you will discover the green heartbeat of the continent:

face-to-face with mountain gorillas in Bwindi,

the play of chimpanzees in Kibale,

the power of the Murchison Falls,

safaris on land and water, where hippos, lions, and elephants set the wild rhythm.

Uganda is not a destination.

It is an intimate encounter with the essential.

A unique experience among jungles, waterfalls and gorillas

Discover the magic of Uganda

Explore the most authentic essence of Africa on a 9-day trip that combines wild nature, unforgettable encounters, and seemingly eternal landscapes.

From vibrant Kampala to the trails of Bwindi National Park, each stage of this journey brings you closer to the essentials: the profound gaze of mountain gorillas, the energy of free-roaming chimpanzees, the indomitable power of the Murchison Falls, and the serenity of boat safaris on the White Nile.

Uganda is diversity: savannas reminiscent of the Serengeti, seemingly endless tropical rainforests, and villages that welcome you with the open smiles of those who live in connection with the land.

More than a journey, it's a transformation: here you are not a tourist, you are an explorer crossing the threshold of the sacred.

And as always at Asilion Travels, this itinerary adapts to you. More trekking, more culture, extensions to Rwanda or Tanzania... You choose the path. We design it with you.

Our Travel Route

Day 1 | Welcome to Uganda Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where our team greets you with a warm welcome. A short transfer will take you to your hotel on the outskirts of Kampala, overlooking the majestic Lake Victoria. It's time to relax, put the journey behind you, and begin to feel the peaceful pulse of Africa. Tomorrow, your great adventure begins.

Day 2 | Rhinos and Murchison Falls In the morning, we depart for the northwest of the country. Along the way, we'll stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where white rhinos live in the semi-wild. A unique experience to observe these giants up close as they return to the savannah. After the visit, we continue to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest in Uganda, crossed by the mythical White Nile. In the afternoon, weather permitting, we'll enjoy our first game drive en route to our lodge. The day culminates with the sound of the African bush as a backdrop, as the Nile makes its way through the rocks, creating the spectacular Murchison Falls.

Day 3 | Safari and Nile Cruise Dawn finds us in the middle of the savannah, ready for a photo safari through Murchison Falls National Park. Amid open plains and lonely palm trees, we'll search for elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, and the incredible birdlife that inhabits this unique ecosystem. In the afternoon, the journey continues by boat: a cruise along the White Nile takes us to the base of the falls. As we travel, hippos lazily dive, crocodiles sunbathe on the banks, and entire elephants cross the river in front of us. The day culminates in the overwhelming force of the water, where the Nile narrows into a canyon of barely seven meters before thundering down in a cloud of spray and rainbows.

Day 4 | From Murchison to the Rift Valley Today we embark on a scenic journey through the Albertine Rift Valley, heading to Fort Portal, a town surrounded by a stunning belt of volcanic lakes and craters. There, we'll take a guided hike among hills and volcanic lagoons, discovering a landscape as beautiful as it is unique. During the tour, you'll also learn about the traditions and history of the Toro Kingdom, one of the oldest and most vibrant kingdoms in Uganda. The day culminates with the feeling of being in a place where nature and culture intertwine in perfect harmony.

Day 5 | Chimpanzees and Heading to Queen Elizabeth NP In the morning, we'll head into the rainforest of Kibale National Park, home to the largest concentration of primates in Africa. Accompanied by expert guides, we'll trek in search of chimpanzees, observing how they move, play, and communicate among the trees. Along the way, we'll also encounter red colobus monkeys, guenons, and a huge variety of birds. After lunch, we'll head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a mosaic of savannas, lakes, and volcanoes. We'll visit the Lake Katwe salt pans, still worked by hand, and end the day with a sunset safari, when the animals emerge to enjoy the last golden light.

Day 6 | Safari and Cruise on the Kazinga Channel The day begins in the Kasenyi area, in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we will go on a safari in search of lions, elephants, buffalo, and large herds of antelope. It is one of the most fertile landscapes in the park, where wildlife is concentrated around the plains. In the afternoon, we change scenery with a cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for hosting the largest concentration of hippos in Africa, as well as crocodiles and waterfowl on each bank. From the water, the wildlife is revealed from a different and surprising perspective. The day concludes with a sunset safari, when the savannah glows with golden hues and nature reveals its most serene and magical face.

Day 7 | From the savannah to the impenetrable forest Today's route takes us to the legendary Bwindi National Park, a World Heritage Site known as the "impenetrable forest," a true biodiversity sanctuary and home to the mountain gorillas. Along the way, we can enjoy two unique experiences: a safari in Ishasha, in search of the famous tree-climbing lions resting on the branches of the acacia trees, or a guided hike among waterfalls and tropical rainforests, discovering the natural richness of the landscape. The choice will depend on the most convenient access point to reach the gorilla families we will visit the next day. Whichever route you choose, the excitement only grows: you are one step away from one of the most life-changing encounters on the continent.

Day 8 | Encounter with the Gorillas Today brings one of the most anticipated and transformative moments of the trip: trekking with mountain gorillas. After a briefing with the guides and rangers, we enter the impenetrable Bwindi Forest, following trails that wind their way through the dense, humid jungle. The hike can last from one to several hours, but each step increases the excitement. Suddenly, there they are. In front of you, silent and in their natural habitat, the mountain gorillas. You will have up to an hour to observe them up close: watch them interact, care for their young, feed, and rest. An intimate, respectful, and deeply moving experience. An encounter you will never forget.

Day 9 | Return to Entebbe Today we bid farewell to the impenetrable forest and begin our return journey to Entebbe, passing through rural and mountainous landscapes that capture the essence of Uganda: welcoming villages, green hills, and smiles that accompany the journey. In the afternoon, we will arrive at the airport to connect with your international flight home. You will take with you not only photographs, but also the living memory of one of the most profound and transformative encounters Africa can offer.
